Nexas Quartet - The Ashes - Blackheath Chamber Music Festival

Phillips Hall, 41 Gardiner Crescent, Blackheath NSW 2785

“Utterly startling…adrenaline fuelled. 4.5 stars.” – Limelight Magazine. ‘The Ashes’, a special Lunch Hour concert, has been moved to Phillips Hall (and will not be performed in the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens). At the forefront of chamber music, Nexas Quartet are leaders, not only in promoting existing repertoire for the saxophone quartet, but in creating new ones. The group’s success comes from a combination of entertaining personalities, virtuosic saxophone skills, and their ability to program concerts that appeal to wide audiences, performed in a variety of settings. ‘The Ashes’ references Australia’s cricket series with England, and music by English and Australian composers forms this dynamic program.
